Exploring Mindfulness and Self-Compassion through Authentic Movement
Authentic Movement is a subtle yet powerful movement therapy practice that allows you to give yourself the attention and care that your bodymind needs. Closing your eyes and waiting for an impulse from your body to move, you find yourself deepening your sense of being while connecting with the creativity that resides in you. You will develop body and movement awareness, interpersonal skills, greater empathy and emotional boundaries, as well as a sense of embodied presence that is necessary for an integrated healthy body, mind and soul. No prior experience is necessary.
Sessions are 1 hour either in my Chelsea office in NYC or online.

Jennifer Tantia, PhD, is a somatic psychologist and dance/movement therapist who has led Authentic Movement groups for the past ten years. A private practice clinician and author, Dr. Tantia has been researching the healing properties of Authentic Movement and the autonomic nervous system for the past 18 years.
